blah blah blah
Inspiration, how does it happen.
From where does it come?
How do you enable it?
Adaptation as an evolutionary necessity.
Artistic expression as a celebration of life.
Artistic expression as mental exploration.
Disciplined diligence deeply hard-wired.
Muses exist in multifarious forms.
Physical, emotional, blazing, opaque.
The artist interprets their constructive fabric.
Spits it back out in personalized views.
But some find their mana in that which conspires
to lurk in the morbid, deep underworld goo.
Ancient sarcophagi, spirits transpire,
Pitter-patter unseemlies screeching for you.
Dark dreamland terror, running through woods.
An owl spins its head on its neck.
An undisclosed predator, tracking you down
Fear wins, and you hit the deck.
Now it's all screeming and slash fang erupting
Those eyes all beedy and wicked.
The time-honored struggle 'tween heaven and hell
Just turned a deep brooding red.

Posted by: bobII at September 29, 2005 10:34 AMDon't blame JT, blame Tomko! 3 run lead, blown. 2 run lead, blown. Hand off to Fassero. 1 run lead, blown.
It was all a pipe dream anyway.
Surf today was missing a few elements but it was a nice, cool fall morning. Swell needs to add a few seconds and right itself. After that, much fun.

Posted by: mig at September 29, 2005 10:40 AMFrance is getting silly waves. Could OB be like that when we get our swell? Just trying to imagine how cool it would be if Sloat looked like Gravierre or La Nord in a few days. Not to mention the topless french babes and the occasional Slater 5 second barrel. Weather sure looks nice for today.
Posted by: Le Chien at September 29, 2005 10:40 AMalert: today they're dumping tons of snow on fillmore street to have a snowboard/ski jump competition.
ditch work! it's a snow day!!
Posted by: rza at September 29, 2005 10:42 AMIs it worth it to drive 30 miles to surf this afternoon? Bush sez y'all need to conserve this here gas. My wallet's hurtin an' all.

"ridables?"
Is this a word?
I need advice on how to ditch my longboard when not using a leash.
How come my OJ knife won't puncture some of the tires on these Bad Boy trucks? Frick - I jam the tip in, I slash sideways and nothing...
The guy who rode my ass all the way down Skyline in his Explorer and then paddled out at Sloat.
GOTCHA.
Who was the dork in the brand new metallic blue VW Jetta with a longboard out the sunroof?; he was doing 55mph down an already hella dangerous Fulton street crossing 40th. I hope to see him in my neighborhood real soon...
Slash.
Is "Chuns" on Oahu or is "Chuns" "Leftovers?"
Is Hawaii good this time of year?
If a large wave like at Maverick's is bearing down on me I pray to Da Blakestah! AND THEN I bail!

Posted by: at September 29, 2005 10:52 AMOK, I'm going surfing. If I drive all the way to the beach and it's fricking lame, I'm not going surfing for another 13 months.
Posted by: grant at September 29, 2005 10:55 AMButt Jammer, "Leftovers" is what you eat during the afternoon game on Nov. 24th. It is usually really good on Nov. 25th, Nov. 26th and Nov 27th. I usually don't hit it up after that as it begins to get fowl......
Baaaahhhahhhhhahhaaaaaaaa
Posted by: Kaiser at September 29, 2005 10:56 AMI drive a black jetta and i put my board inside and i make fun of other surfers. I'm so cool.
Posted by: at September 29, 2005 10:56 AMHey, the guy you are looking for is named Ghassan Kharsa AKA Littleman. Taraval Police KNOW him VERY well! He has a rap sheet for over 20 years. He is DEFINITELY the guy that is breaking into these cars. His license plate # is 5jgb323, burgundy toyota 2 dr celica. He also had primered it grey for a while. You may have noticed the break-ins slowing down in the end of August to Sept 2005 because he is running scared and has been hiding off and on in Santa Cruz, CA. However a friend of mine seen him at the Daly City Bart Station Monday 9/26/05 at 9:00 pm so it's possible that he no longer has that car. Not for sure on that. This guy is not Asian/Hispanic. He is Arab. Back in July, he stole a surfer's credit card and purchased $800.00 worth of cigarettes at 7-11 on 46th and Judah. The owner of the store (Terry, I think-Asian guy) did NOT report him to the police even though he had him on surveillance. Sto ry has it that he got the money reimbursed to him by a family member. He is also wanted by Daly City or Pacifica police for trying to cash a check belonging to his ex-girlfriend's mother at a bank in Daly City. They also have him on surveillance. He was also breaking into Surfer's cars in Pacifica a few months ago as well. Gee, don't know what else to tell you. I tried posting this on your website but it wouldn't allow me to for some reason. I really hope you get this guy. He's been in and out of jail his whole life and that obviously hasn't helped the scumbag. He needs to be sent away for a long time. The court systems have been way too lenient on this piece of crap for what ever reason. He is a drug addict (creakhead by choice) and thinks nothing of stealing from anybody. He even stole from his own family members, that's what a low life this thing is. If they do finally catch him, all you surfer's need to get toget her and formally press charges in order for this thing to be put a way for a long long time! I hope this helps. So remember, he's Arab, about 5' 7'', his birthday is 4/20/71. He's bald and has tattoos all over his arms, stomach and back. He has a scar on his face and he's a crackhead!

Posted by: bagel at September 29, 2005 11:17 AMJust scoped out the ski/snowboard jump. From the vantage point under the kicker, it really does look like you're on a snowy mountain in the middle of the city. Pretty cool. The gap is nothing but street, they essentially have to huck over the Fillmore/Vallejo intersection to get to the transition.
Pacific Heights ghetto reprazent!

At least they laugh at my stories about you comedians... they can't even believe the crap on this page...
Claimers claiming. So funny.
Hey Kaiser, in my book your surfing abilities are rate a three (beginer) out of 10 just ahead of Rapestah and E, er, I mean Montell.
What is there to debate? Ass, grass or gas?
Anyone have directions to Maui?
And Cadver can you quit with the anon snipes - not cool - I know its you...
in my book of english bvb rates a 2.
love always,

Posted by: j at September 29, 2005 11:38 AMWent out for an hour last night in bumpy jumbled surf but managed to score 8 waves. Lots of hard paddling to stay in the zone. I felt good afterward. Surfing is such a good thing.
I'm taking off work manana. Maybe that swell will begin to show before the afternoon winds.
Posted by: Dennis at September 29, 2005 11:44 AMbvb, if everyBODY STOPPED surfing LIKE YOU WANT, Who WOULD YOU MAKE FUN OF?
Posted by: at September 29, 2005 11:50 AMBVB, the funny thing is, I rate myself at a 2.5 out of 10 so I guess you see things better then I do!
But explain to me how by balls are about 10-fold larger then yours?
I mean, given all your infinite wisdom, your cool friends around the globe, your leisurely lifestyle, your art shows...man, I don't see why more people don't look up to you.
BVB all is fun in love and war! Hope to see you under the rust or past the 4-5 rows of whitewater one day soon. I'll share a wave and you can show me how its done!
Posted by: Kaiser at September 29, 2005 11:57 AMi give him a 3, but at shitty backside horizontal off the lips on a 12 foot shortboard i give him a 10!

Posted by: at September 29, 2005 12:28 PMAhhh getting back to what's important: nice wave pics.
Also important: Demonic Giant Squid. The following is priceless.
http://diver.net/seahunt/fend/f_scott.htm
"In addition to the Humboldt’s enormity and impressive array of weapons, this magnificent mollusk possesses a legendary ferocity. The local Mexican fishermen call it Rojo Diablo, or Red Demon. When I arrived in Mexico for the dive, several fishermen told tales of how people had experienced violent deaths after falling in the water with these red demons: “…they would be pulled down and devoured in moments.”
These stories were true and I knew it. So I developed equipment and techniques to counter a possible attack. These precautions included: anti-squid armor suits; armor plating for the vulnerable parts of my mixed-gas rebreather; anti-squid cage; and back-to-back diving techniques. To prevent being pulled down by a pack of squid, steel cables connected divers to the boat at all times. If these measures sound extreme, I can assure you they weren’t. Each one came into play and proved to be completely necessary."

Posted by: Kaiser at September 29, 2005 01:29 PMAfter all these months of people talking about car break-ins at O.B., how people are going to bust that dude's face in, and now someone shows up with all sorts of detailed information on the guy, and everyone shuts up... Hmmmm... all I can say is, all talk, no action.

Posted by: Hi Kaiser at September 29, 2005 01:35 PMI think the key to lack of response is:
"You may have noticed the break-ins slowing down in the end of August to Sept 2005 because he is running scared and has been hiding off and on in Santa Cruz, CA."
Let the SC locals regulate.
Posted by: friend #1 at September 29, 2005 01:38 PMFor as busy a surf place SC is its surprising that they dont have more car break ins.
They must save up all that energy for the wonderful hospitality i always recieve in the water.
